Local foods

We put our hearts and souls into providing delicious food made from local ingredients - both for everyday and special occasions.

Our seafood dishes are all home-cooked - we pick up the fish directly from the fisherman's wharf and prepare it fresh. Our specialty Boknafisk (also Hjellosing - our own variant) has been especially well received. It is codfish dried in the winter air for about 3 weeks before being cooked.

We also have other delicacies on our menu: reindeer steak so tender that it melts on the tongue, delicious lamb, and many seafood dishes where the ingredients have been caught right outside our front door in Kjøllefjorden.

Meals are served daily in our ground floor diner, or "the pub". It was known as The Kinnarn Pub in the old days, but nowadays just known as "the pub" by locals.

Since then the pub has received a makeover, and is now a diner, lobby, café and meeting place. We show football games on the big screen, and customers play billiards, read magazines and much more. But it's still called "the pub"...

We also have a restaurant that seats up to 100. The restaurant serves breakfast daily, as well as lunches and dinners by appointment.

A sample of the pub's menu, served daily between 15:00-22:00:

  • Boknafisk (dried and cooked codfish) with potatoes, stewed peas and bacon
  • Salted codfish with potatoes, stewed carrots and bacon
  • Reindeer steak with potatoes, butter steamed greens, wild game gravy and lingonberries
  • Finnbiff (reindeer stew) with mashed potatoes, butter steamed greens and lingonberries

We also make fantastic pizzas served with home-cooked dressing!
